Cairo Weather - The city of Cairo has a desert climate, which makes the days very hot & the nights become very cool. Another thing you should know is that there are sandstorms that occur frequently in the months on April & May. The wind is fierce & the sand can sting your exposed skin. The mildest temperatures occur during the winters & the best months in Cairo are February & March. The average temperature in the month of July is 82.2 degrees F & in the month of January the average temperature is 56.8 degrees F. Bring lots of garments made of cotton to keep you cool in the Desert Climate. Always bring some form of jacket or outerwear advisable to dress conservatively in the city & to dress modestly when visiting churches or mosques.
